Afro hair is its own trade. Braiding, weaving, relaxing and wig installation are specialist skills, and a salon that advertises "all hair types" often means straight hair. This section lists salons that actually do the work, and says which services each one offers.

Sew-ins, closures, frontals and wigs. Prices depend heavily on whether hair is supplied by the salon or bought separately — check which before booking.
Relaxing, silk press, deep conditioning and scalp treatments. Often available at shorter notice than braiding.
